Richard M. Zomnir Joins Innovative Systems’ Board of Directors

Company’s President and Chief Operating Officer Elected Board Chairman

PITTSBURGH, PA – July 1, 2009 – Innovative Systems, Inc. (ISI), a leading provider of data quality, sanctions, CDI and business support solutions worldwide, today announced the election of Richard M. Zomnir to its board of directors and ISI’s President and CEO, Robert J. Colonna, to Chairman of the Board.

Mr. Zomnir founded Strategic Energy, LLC, one of the largest and most profitable competitive retail energy providers in the United States and now a part of Direct Energy Business. Guided by a performance-based management philosophy, Mr. Zomnir grew the company from four employees in 1991 to approximately 300 employees and $1.1 billion in sales in 2004, when he sold his interest to Great Plains Energy.

Mr. Zomnir was a founding partner of Pittsburgh law firm Babst, Calland, Clements & Zomnir and its President from 1986-1991. He received his B.A. in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh and his Law Degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he was Editor-in-Chief of Law Review. Mr. Zomnir joins current board member Charles E. Leonard, whose knowledge of the data quality and information business has been integral to guiding ISI in these markets.

Mr. Colonna founded Innovative Systems, Inc. in 1968. He was elected to the role of Chairman of the Board left open by the recent loss of ISI’s previous chairman, Thomas V. Fritz, in a tragic accident.
