| PITTSBURGH, PA – November 16, 2006 - Innovative Systems, Inc., a global provider of data quality and regulatory compliance solutions, today announced that its application to the Global Compact has been accepted by the United Nations. Innovative’s participation represents its support for the Global Compact’s ten guiding principles governing human rights, labor rights, the protection of the environment, and anti-corruption. |
|
| First proposed by Secretary-General Kofi Annan at the 1999 World Economic Forum, the Global Compact has become the world’s largest corporate citizenship program, with over 3,700 business participants and other stakeholders in more than 100 countries. A voluntary initiative, the Global Compact and its participating entities work to advance international cooperation, peace and development by supporting principles that help the global marketplace to become more socially and economically inclusive. “Innovative has long promoted and embraced business practices that meet the highest ethical and legal standards,” said Bob Colonna, Innovative’s president and CEO. “We are honored to be part of this important global effort, and are proud to join the ranks with other leading U.S. and international corporations to advance the Compact’s universal social and environmental principles.” |
