The process begins with carefully profiling the data to be migrated -- be it name and address or non-name and address data -- in order to accurately determine its structure and identify any errors or anomalies so that they can be corrected prior to or during the transformation process. Using our powerful data cleansing routines and our proprietary knowledgebases of millions of words and word patterns, the data is parsed, standardized and categorized to the appropriate fields in the data warehouse. Non-name and address data that needs to be corrected or mapped is corrected prior to the load. With in-depth knowledge of the data structures of both the migration data and the target data warehouse, transformation rules are written, including any data repairs that must be performed. Since all the data has been profiled, the test run using a sample of data will verify that all mapping and transformations developed from profiling are done correctly. With planning and data preparation carefully performed and checked, ISI clients achieve a successful result the first time, every time.
