ISI’s approach allows departmental customer/household definitions to be accommodated within the Synchronos™ platform
Because different departments use customer data in different ways, their ideal definitions of “customer” and “household” vary widely. Marketing, for example, may wish to over-link households to prevent sending out duplicate mailings. Operations may wish to under-link households to ensure that the risk of sharing financial information is minimized.
ISI’s Synchronos™ customer platform uniquely enables each department — existing and in the future — to utilize the definitions of customer and household that best meet its purposes in using the data. In our customer data paradigm, all of the relevant customer information, including the customer’s network of relationships and connectivity, is maintained in the core customer profile. Each department then accesses the particular data elements that comprise its definition, without interfering with the accuracy or integrity of the rest of the data. Departments can also change their definitions to reflect the way they use the data. In this way, Synchronos delivers ongoing accuracy, flexibility and support as the organization and its needs continue to evolve.
